Peer brings together researchers, designers, engineers, and industry leaders to realize the metaverse as well as demonstrate the critical technology it ultimately enables. As Web 2.0 has shaped today’s technology ladscape, the metaverse will foster a new generation of compute capabilities unimaginable today. We’re starting with software first and working towards hardware.

Tony Tran, President, CEO, CTO
Tony Tran is a serial entrepreneur, inventor, designer and engineer. He was formerly an Art Director and Technologist at Microsoft SBG where he focused on identifying, incubating and productizing breakthrough technologies. In the past, Tran was a Creative Director at McCann where he developed brand strategy and product vision for Fortune 50 companies. Tran presently serves as Executive Chairman, CEO, and CTO.
Heath Abbate, Chief Operations Officer
Heath Abbate serves as Peer’s COO with over 30 years of experience in developing and managing IT infrastructure and IT related facilities at both startups and large organizations. In addition to managing Peer’s IT backbone, he currently heads the development of Peer Ledger and its blockchain services which includes Atomic Swap, Exchange, Explorer, Wallets, and Peer Web Services.
Kyle Hay, Chief Design Officer
Kyle Hay is Peer’s Chief Design Officer where he leads Peer Labs to develop and deliver a new breed of consumer hardware and software based on blockchain technology. He previously led design at Density and was Creative Director and Principal Hardware designer at Leap Motion (now Ultraleap). Hay has shipped hardware and software across a wide array of industries including VR/AR, personal computing, mobile, automotive, and medical devices.
Dr. Thomas Nguyen, CSO (Interim)
Dr. Thomas Nguyen is currently researching chemistries and materials for battery development to power Peer’s future devices. At Peer Labs, he leads the research and development of lithium, zinc, silicon, and solid state battery technology. He holds a B.S. degree in chemistry, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering. He is also a Chemistry/Materials science lecturer at various colleges and universities.
Dr. Paul Duong, Director
Dr. Paul Duong is an established physician with over thirty years of experience in internal medicine. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, after which he founded his own medical practice in Orange County. Dr. Duong lives in southern California with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching movies, and photography.
